We just needed to get away this past weekend. So, we drove up to Phoenix for the day on Saturday, the gas alone was $65....gasping for air....Although, that doesn't touch the amount it takes to fill the diesel, that tab is way above $100 right now.
We went to Cracker Barrell for lunch, luv me some good chix and dumpin's. Then on to Cabellas, which can be described as a black hole for men. Shayne could spend hours in there. The things he gets excited about...building your own rifle(huh? can't you just buy one?)....dutch ovens big enough for Drew to crawl inside...bison sausage in the small cafe they have there (uh, yeah, I'll pass).
My favorite part, the smell on my family's breath as they ate some kind of animal jerky in out 100 degree car after, nice.
I did get to go to the ribbon store, yup, a store just for ribbon. I had to purchase some last minute supplies for a girls camp craft, and so, got to spend the church's money instead of my own.
We went to Shar's Kitchen for purchase wheat(no, not for me) and some food containers. We have made it a family project to attempt food storage, rather clumsily and haphazardly, but an effort nonetheless.
Have a great week!

JD could spend days in Cabellas. JD's idea of food storage is ammo. We better hope he is a good shot cause we only have about ten #10 cans of food.
P.S. Way to go Shane on the 100 pounds. That is awesome!!
Sorry I just realized I spelled Shayne wrong.
Mmmmm....Jerky......
I've lost a Dad and two brothers in Cabellas before. Scary.
