These are me and my cousins at Christmas...

This is my dad and my Grandma

This is my grandma warning Shayne to be good to me on my wedding day

My grandma, Veronica Baxter, passed away this morning after being sick for a long time. She was a good grandma when we were young. On tuesdays, us cousins would ride the bus to her house (btw, my cousins lived next door to me, and both grandmas lived in the same town..lucky!) and have cooking class. We made cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, and tarts. Going over to her house meant jumping on her mini trampoline, swimming in a vinyl pool in the back, and looking at all of her books and memorabilia of the English Royal Family. Oh how I loved Princess Diana! We all stayed the night the day of Princess Diana and Prince Charles wedding, all snuggled up in sleeping bags on her living room floor.
She called me "Kellie-wellie", and shared with us how she grew up in Sheffield, England. She came to England as a war bride to my grandpa, who was military police during WW2. The ultimate love story, to leave her family and friends for a new country, join the church, and to raise a family, what courage!

What fun memories and a fun grandma! I'm trying to figure out who you are in the first picture... all those blondies make it hard. The front row on the right?
Sorry to hear about your grandmother. It is wonderful to have such great memories of her. You look just like your kiddos when you were young!
So sorry to hear of your Grandma. She sounds amazing, and yes, you were lucky to live near her. My fav is the finger pointing at Shayne on the wedding day pic. SO CUTE!!!
What a great lady she was, and I only met her a couple of times!! How exciting for her to return home with such an amazing legacy left behind.
